Marital Issues - Childbearing

On this fateful day, I resulted to watching one of our local stations, ONTV when the DSTV decided to "shenk" us (actually subscription had expired 😂😂). They were showing this movie that starred one of my crushes in Nollywood 😉 (I won't tell you his name) and I decided to watch the movie.

His wife apparently used to be a stripper long before she met him but changed along the line. Since it wasn't what she was proud of she decided to let the secret die with her. Unfortunately for her, her old school friend who used to date her husband became jealous, seeing that he was doing very well and decided to leak the secret to the guy.

It was war in that home but after everything, husband forgave wife and moved on but you see that Delilah of a friend (please be careful who you open up to and discuss delicate issues with) decided to tell the husband his wife couldn't conceive again. The husband decided to book an appointment with the doctor for himself and his wife (majorly for his wife though). The wife, being a mugu told her friend about it and even gave her the name of he hospital and the doctor. Naso aunty Delilah carry her two legs go bribe doctor to falsify result and say the wife can't bear a child again. Prince charming saw the test results and wanted to go bunkers.

At this time, 3 things were running through my head,
1. If you truly love someone, shouldn't you be able to overlook some of their flaws?
2. Why do young couples think it is alright to discuss their marital problems with friends?
3. Since when did being unable to bear a child become a disease? What ever happened to adoption?
The husband was so upset that he almost wanted to dissolve the marriage. Even when he and his wife were kidnapped, he begged kidnappers to release him and keep his wife as she's the devil's incarnate. For me that was too far.

Your inability to carry children may be as a result of your waywardness but it shouldn't be a death sentence. Pick up the rest of your life, adopt a child if you can and nurture that child like he/she is your child. Show that child love and care and give him/her quality education and home training. It is not the end of the world so please don't beat yourself up over it.

I hope this helps someone. Till we meet again next time, I remain Ore Sho ❤
