****EPISODE THREE****
Federal Road Savage Corps (FRSC)
I was in a cab on my way to work one Sunday morning when I spotted a Federal Road Safety Corps car manoeuvring and changing lanes recklessly. In less than two minutes, it was clear why the driver of that vehicle did that, they had sighted an interstate bus and for reasons best known to them he became a scape goat (Thinking about it now, I guess the driver of the bus didn’t use his seatbelt). Anyway, what caught my attention really is how a black G-Wagon ahead refused to give way to the FRSC car. Mr G-Wagon drove carefully in front of the car in the middle of the lane thereby making it difficult for the FRSC guys to manoeuvre to the next lane…… Of course, nobody would want to dare bash a “Mercedes G-Wagon” except your village people are following you and want to put you in debt hehehe.
I had a good laugh at the show in front of me however, the G-Wagon had to take the exit to secretariat. I’m sure those FRSC guys would have cursed him heavily. As soon as he was out of their way, they sped like a mad dog that just escaped from its leash to attack an intruder, not minding what would happen. I guess they were more interested in their target than the safety of the commuters on that lane. Just as we were insulting them for their rough driving they caused an accident and didn’t even look back. It is either they didn’t realize it or they just couldn’t be bothered. The bike man that was jejely breezing past was forced to jump off the road on his bike when he saw them speed by. People said he probably wanted to swerve but the speed he was on caused his bike to shift thereby throwing him off balance. Some other persons said fear of road safety probably made him jump off but whatever it was it was certain that he would have sustained an injury(ies)…… Well, except God wanted to perform a new month miracle as it was a new month. The people who have been assigned to ensure safety at all times were now the same set of people causing havoc on the road SMH. #LagosNaWA #MyLagosDiary
