The PVC Madness
Hi guys, welcome to today's edition of Talk To Ore Sho. I'll be discussing a very crucial mater that has spread like wild fire throughout Nigeria. What do you suggest we can do as individuals to make Nigeria a better place for us all?
The first quarter of the year 2018 was a trying year all over the world. Nigeria recorded several death tolls, most of which could have been avoided if proper means were put in place. Take for instance the petrol tanker that exploded on Lagos-Ibadan express way, if the tanker wasn't on the main road it most likely wouldn't have claimed many people's lives. In developed countries petrol is not transported by road especially in 2018 I see no reason why a country like Nigeria still allows transportation of fuel by road knowing fully well the hazards it could cause when there's an accident.
In recent times, Nigerians have been frustrated at the current government because it seems like they've folded their arms and enjoy watching us suffer. During our president, President Muhammadu Buhari's campaign, citizens were promised heaven and earth and we were told that insecurity, poverty, good roads, among other problems will be sorted within 6 months to 1 year and sadly most people believed the polished lies. You don't expect much from someone who has promised to do magic, especially in a country like Nigeria where there are godfathers who are selfish enough to assassinate anyone who dares fix a problem that they are making money from e.g if the electricity in Nigeria is fixed and becomes constant then the makers and importers of generators won't be too happy about this as their source of income has been cut short.
Now, my major concern is how Nigerians have decided to use every issue that happens as an avenue to preach #GetYourPVC. Trust me, every tenure of government has seen its own hardships. We need to first work on ourselves and clear the mentality that the government has to do everything for us. If for instance the pipelines that were put in place for transportation of fuel were not vandalized then you can blame the government for their inability to provide adequate means of transportation. Yes, we are all tired of Buhari but who do we know is coming next and what do we know they can and will do during their regime? We need to wake up and stop praying for God to help Nigeria when we ourselves are the architect of our own problems. First, we need to be united, love one another, follow simple rules, gain more knowledge, support the good and cut off the bad before it becomes worse, blame others less and do what is expected of us. I hope that the next government that will take over will be leaders that have the good interest of the citizens at heart and are willing and ready to serve the nation in fairness and in truth. Peace
Till we meet again next time, I remain Ore Sho
Have a great evening. Kisses
