My New Story

Hi guys, I'm back with another episode of my story. Still haven't found the right title yet. Maybe you can help me with a perfect title though 😉.

CHAPTER TWO

In no time this young and happy child gradually started to withdraw, from friends, families and even neighbours. This even made her lose her self esteem. Although I think that her mama had a lot to do with this because the woman consistently compared her to almost everyone and always told her they were way better than her. She tried to fight it but her mom always won so she finally agreed mentally with her mom that she's less, in almost everything. Her education was quite fast however the rough road began to surface in her secondary school. An excellent student then gradually became average and then a little lower than average. She didn't believe she could be better so she never tried. Things became worse when she didn't gain admission into the university immediately after secondary school.

The two years she was at home for were the worst years of her life. In that year, she planned on running away from the house, planned suicide and even prepared her suicide note. So many things went wrong in these two years that in turn affected her being.

CHAPTER THREE

Naomi saw her admission into the university as an escape from home. She had never loved to be in her home for long and so she begged her mom to enrol her in a boarding secondary school outside Lagos. Her university as you can imagine was also outside Lagos.

She didn't mingle with the wrong friends neither did she get herself in trouble in school. In fact she gave people the impression that she was from the best home and had a wonderful family and many envied her.

She had an unsettled battle mentally and this had a lot to do with her performance. Because she didn't even had a FATHER (as she saw her father mainly as a man whose sperm contributed to her birth), she couldn't relate well with the opposite sex. Although she was never rude to them or anything of such, she never really valued them as her only ambition was to be great, get so rich, disown her father, get married, build a home and help people in need. With time she realized that her mother was bound by poverty mentality, her mum was like that with her only because she felt that was the right way to train a child and by comparing her child to other children her own child will want to be better and even do better. Alas! the reverse was the case. Her mom didn't have an awesome childhood either and didn't have good parenting as her parents were poor and had to keep each of their kids with a family. Unfortunately for them, her mom was in the family where she was treated like rag.

..…......................

Watch out for the next episode and please support a sister by sharing your thoughts or whatever advice you may have for little Naomi you never know who's actually going through something similar that may learn from this. God bless you.
